Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $22.00- $26.00/hr 3 month Contract to Hire

Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)- Joliet, IL

Duration: 3 months contract to hire

Hours: 6am – 2:30pm

The Maintenance Assistant role requires a proactive and skilled individual.

Candidates with hands-on experience working with tools, pumps, and piping are highly valued.

An understanding of maintaining complex piping systems in commercial and industrial settings is preferred.

Candidates should be able to clearly explain how they perform preventive maintenance on the systems they manage.

Experience in chemical manufacturing or distribution is also considered a strong advantage.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to read, write and perform math calculations.

• Be physically capable to operate mobile equipment, climb ladders and use maintenance tools safely,

• Demonstrate the ability to make decisions and understand functioning equipment.

• Must have high school or equivalent education and 3 years of maintenance related experience.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on critical operating equipment.

• Perform daily maintenance task as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Observe and report status of onsite project contractors.

• Inform Supervisor on the status of critical operating equipment and ongoing projects.

• Order maintenance supplies and run errands.

• Initiate non-conformance reports and comply with all related ISO-9000 procedures.

• Properly report and document maintenance activities within the workorder accounting system.
