System Administrator (Early shift)

TIAG is now hiring a System Administrator to join our team at the National Institute of Health (NIH). As the System Administrator, you will provide daily administration, security compliance, and operational support for all Facility Operational Technology systems (FOTS) including servers, workstations, and OT applications.This System Administrator role will work the 6am - 3pm shift. This position is based in Bethesda, MD and is primarily on-site requiring an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. As a result, US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement. Position ResponsibilitiesProvide system administrator functions for design and testing systems in Windows Server environments and OT applications (Metasys, Desigo, etc.)Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for hardware and software administration, installation, interoperability, configuration management, operations, maintenance, and troubleshootingProficient in setting up new servers (virtual and physical), performing data backups/snapshots, migrating data to new servers, and decommissioning legacy systems.Assist various teams in scanning and patching all assets, completing STIG checklists, harden and implement applicable STIGs and deploying patches to mitigate all open findingsHarden and implement applicable STIGs.Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory integrationMaintain system inventories and configuration baselinesCoordinate maintenance windows with facility operationsImplement NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 security controlsSupport ATO documentation and compliance activitiesCreate and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, processes, and service recordsDevelop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for system administration, usage, and disaster recoveryProvide 8-hour daily on-site coverage rotation Required Experience5+ years systems administration experience supporting federal contractsExperience with Windows Server, virtualization, and enterprise applicationsIntermediate skills in identifying and anticipating server performance, availability, capacity, or configuration problems.Knowledge of OT/ICS environments and security requirementsITIL v4 Foundations certification preferredExperience with vulnerability management tools (ACAS)Active DoD Secret clearance requiredAn Information Assurance certification in compliance with DoD 8570 (e.g., Security+, CISSP) (IAT Level II) is required.Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones.Experience working with distributed teamsStrong communication skills; motivated to investigate, analyze, and document system issues and resolutions; provides consistent status updates to ensure IT security projects stay focusedStrong work ethic and a proven professional - respectful, dependable, takes initiative, and follows through TIAG is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
