Medical Science Liaison- Genetic Counselor - Rare Disease

Labcorp seeks a field-based Medical Science Liaison with genetic counseling expertise to educate healthcare providers, payers, and key opinion leaders on rare disease diagnostics across a 14-state central region. The role combines clinical knowledge with relationship building and conference participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational support to providers, payers, and advocates on Labcorp rare disease testing products
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers
• Serve as expert resource for sales teams on cardiology, neurology, immunology, and rare disease panel offerings
• Collaborate with marketing to develop educational activities, speaker programs, and CME events
• Attend scientific conferences, summarize findings, and participate in product development discussions

Requirements

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or Human Genetics
• American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification
• Minimum 2 years clinical genetic counseling experience
• At least 1 year rare disease specialty genetic counseling experience
• Knowledge of rare disease market and molecular diagnostic technologies
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to manage 50% travel

Compensation: $120,000-$155,000 base per year, plus annual bonus eligibility
