You will work closely with other designers and engineers to ensure equipment is fabricated accurately and with high quality. You will be responsible for designing equipment, detail prints for fabrication, ensuring conformance to customer plans and specifications, internal process improvement activities and more. You will travel occasionally (less than 10%).What is the role?Review all applicable job data, including plans and specifications, to determine project requirementsManage the technical aspects of assigned projects through the engineering processPerform engineering analysis as needed and prepare required calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications and instructions, with limited supervision.Check calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications and instructions prepared by drafters/designers and other engineersCommunicate directly with the customer together with the project manager to resolve technical issuesProvide technical support to shop and field start-up servicesDocument and update design procedures on a regular basisAdvise project engineers, project managers and/ or other managers on project statusPerform other duties as assignedDoes this sound like you?Bachelor of Science in EngineeringMust have experience working with Structural SteelMust have at least 5 years experience in design and fabrication of heavy structural and piping projects using AutoCad or InventorWilling to travel to checkout equipment fabrication and perform equipment startupsBasic knowledge of motor controlsHands on self starter capable of working with minimal supervisionBasic knowledge of job cost trackingPrior experience with Syteline or other ERP systems is a plusMust have good communication skills with both coworkers and customersAbility to read and understand fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawing.Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly techniques pertaining to structural steel.Ability to lift up to 30LBSDon't meet every single requirement?
