Job Title Adjunct Faculty in Music Agency Texas A&M University - San Antonio Department Department of Language, Literature, and Arts Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location San Antonio, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The Department of Language, Literature, and Arts is seeking a part-time faculty on the San Antonio campus. The successful candidate will direct a lower-division undergraduate section of mariachi ensemble. Mode of delivery is face-to-face and may include day or night classes. Salary: $3,000 per 3-credit course. Required Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Music or Music Education, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent mariachi performing and coaching experience. A minimum of 18 graduate hours in music or related field. Preferred Education and Experience: Five or more years teaching and conducting a mariachi ensemble at the high school or college level. Familiarity with music notation software and arrangement techniques. Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, and multicultural student body. Graduate-level degree in ethnomusicology with emphasis on Latin-American music.
