The successful candidate will be a clinical leader dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective imaging services. This role involves the development and implementation of quality improvement programs, participation in departmental and institutional committees related to quality and safety, and the mentoring of radiology residents and fellows. The Vice Chair of Quality will also be responsible for analyzing incidental findings, standardizing best practices, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to regulations and standards. Collaboration with the Department Chair and other key leaders is essential to support the core missions of the department. Applicants for the Vice Chair of Quality position must have a medical degree, be board-certified in diagnostic radiology, and have a strong background in quality improvement, patient safety, and excellence in patient care. The role requires the ability to work with a diverse team, including technologists, nurses, and administrative staff, and a commitment to the departmental culture of providing excellent patient care. Experience in leading quality improvement projects, setting performance indicators, and a track record of mentoring and collaboration are highly valued. The ideal candidate will also have a history of participation in national societies and a proven ability to drive change and innovation within the academic radiology setting.
