Assistant Golf Coach - First Tee of Tampa Bay YMCA

Assistant Golf Coach Engages with program participants, parents, and staff in a positive and professional manner, delivering the highest levels of quality and service. Assists the Golf Coach in the delivery of assigned programs as scheduled by the Program Director or Supervisor. Supports and participates in developing a positive and professional team culture that emphasizes good sportsmanship. Assists the Golf Coach in setting up program‑related activities and skills stations. Assists in delivering programming in accordance with Association policies and procedures. Conducts oneself consistently with First Tee and Association expectations around professionalism, including language and attitude. Follows YMCA policies and procedures regarding safety, health, and welfare of participants; reports emergency situations to a direct supervisor or other Program leader, in accordance with facility policies and certification requirements. Attends and actively participates in all trainings and staff meetings as assigned. Assists in the implementation of program curriculum and coordinated activities and logistics, ensuring a quality program is offered to students and that the First Tee of Tampa Bay curriculum is delivered. Adheres to all federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as all YMCA policies and procedures related to safety, health, and welfare of members, participants, guests, and staff. Ensures implementation of and follows all training requirements, including risk management and child‑abuse prevention training, and ensures proper reporting of all incidents/accidents according to risk‑management procedures. Maintains a safe and healthy environment at all times, performing daily safety checks of program areas, equipment, and supplies, and keeping appropriate records, certifications, meetings, and trainings. Maintains an emphasis on safety in all areas of responsibility as they relate to members and staff, and promptly reports any suspicious or inappropriate behavior or policy violations, following established association procedures. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork. Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver a high‑value experience for participants.
