The Diesel Technician will service Class 7–8 heavy trucks in a mixed shop and field-service environment. This role performs diagnostics, engine repairs, preventive maintenance, component replacement, and systems repairs while providing occasional local field service and customer support. The technician maintains accurate work-order documentation and follows safety compliance requirements.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform diesel diagnostics and engine repairs on Class 7–8 heavy trucks.
• Complete preventive maintenance and parts replacement.
• Conduct electrical testing and repair electrical systems.
• Repair hydraulic systems and service brake systems.
• Perform transmission service and related repairs.
• Document completed work accurately in work orders.
• Follow safety compliance requirements in shop and field environments.
• Provide local field repairs and customer support.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced or entry-level background in diesel equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and heavy truck repair.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brake systems, and transmission repair.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and work-order management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and safety awareness.
