Maintenance Coordinator

We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Hannibal, MO. The Maintenance Coordinator must oversee the inspection planning, scheduling and coordination of the mechanical maintenance and improvements related activities in the most safe, reliable and cost-effective manner possible. This is accomplished through the use of inspection, planning and scheduling practices while taking into consideration the production requirements of the plant.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance Oversight: Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program, coordinating staff and contractors to prioritize tasks based on production needs.

Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond quickly to breakdowns, minimize downtime, and use performance data to resolve recurring issues.

Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct inspections with corrective actions.

Spare Parts and Inventory: Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate purchasing within budget guidelines.

Training and Development: Train maintenance staff, address skill gaps, and support professional growth.

Continuous Improvement: Improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and enhance equipment reliability through innovation.

Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate maintenance records and report on performance, costs, and downtime.

Contributes to monitoring and ensuring maintenance of the Master Preventive Maintenance Schedule by ensuring the even distribution of preventive maintenance throughout the year and lead in recommendations for updating PM check lists as deemed necessary by equipment upgrades and modifications.

About You

We Require:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant vocational training is a plus.

Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, preferably in cement production or similar industries.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.

Excellent organizational and communication abilities to coordinate maintenance activities and liaise with various teams.

Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.

Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning and record-keeping.

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
