The Engineer will develop secure, cloud-ready components integrated within LOC's enterprise development environment, delivering reliable, accessible, and scalable solutions for congressional data and public transparency.Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:· Develop microservices, APIs, and modular application components.· Write secure, efficient, maintainable code for large-scale data and public-facing systems.· Build automated tests and ensure enterprise software quality standards.· Integrate applications with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tooling.· Support modernization efforts, refactoring legacy functionality into cloud-ready designs.· Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional LOC and CGI teams.Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role:· U.S. Citizenship· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field· 7+ years of professional software development experience· Proficiency in languages such as Java and Python· Proficiency in MySQL, Mongo DB, Solr, and Oracle· Experience with secure coding practices and federal software development environments· Experience with PHP (/Symfony), Angular, and Node· Experience contributing within Agile/Scrum teamsDesired Qualifications· Experience developing on AWS or other cloud platforms· Experience modernizing legacy components to cloud-native architectures· Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks, containerization, and API-first designWhat You Can Expect From Us:Together, as owners, let's turn meaningful insights into action.
