About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its mission-driven nonprofit organization. The CFO will be a strategic and operational leader, responsible for the financial health, sustainability, and growth of the organization. This role requires a minimum of 15 years of financial leadership experience, with a strong background in affordable housing finance, including LIHTC transactions, HUD programs, and complex multifamily housing portfolios. The successful candidate will serve as a key financial advisor, lead all financial functions, and ensure long-term financial sustainability. Essential duties include overseeing financial operations, developing financial models, managing relationships with lenders and investors, and providing financial leadership to the Board of Directors. Candidates for the CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred. A CPA is strongly preferred, and experience with affordable housing finance and nonprofit organizations is highly valued. The CFO will be expected to have a deep understanding of financial governance, regulatory requirements, and a proven track record of leading finance functions within complex, mission-driven organizations. The role also involves building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders, and representing the organization in the industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner, with a focus on financial visibility, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
