Registered Nurse- Part Time, Days, 7am-7pm, Neuro Acute Care, Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center Summit, NJ, United States Overview Atlantic Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical-Surgical Gastrointestinal/Genitourinary (GI/GU) unit at Overlook Medical Center. This part‑time, day‑shift role focuses on providing high‑quality, patient‑centered nursing care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. The RN will care for patients with a variety of medical conditions, ensuring safe, effective treatment and education throughout their hospital stay. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with gastrointestinal and genitourinary conditions Monitor patient conditions, assess symptoms, and promptly report changes Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records and documentation Record and interpret vital signs and clinical data Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post‑discharge care Utilize and prescribe assistive medical devices as appropriate Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations and patient care Qualifications Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey required Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing (ADN or BSN) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced medical‑surgical environment Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Medical‑Surgical nursing, preferably with GI/GU patient populations Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems ACLS certification Schedule Part‑Time Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Compensation Minimum Salary (Hourly Rate): $41.79 Maximum Salary (Hourly Rate): $73.56 Primary Shift: Day Days and Shifts: 36 hours per week Weekends Expectations: Every third Benefits Atlantic Health offers a competitive and comprehensive Total Rewards package that supports the health, financial security, and well‑being of all team members.
