Import / Export Compliance Specialist

The Import / Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing global shipment activities, including imports, exports, parcel, LTL/FTL, ocean, and air freight. This role ensures compliance with U.S. and international regulations while maintaining accurate documentation, optimizing transportation costs, and supporting on-time delivery performance. We are looking for candidates with at least 5+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or export operations. Experience coordinating international freight across multiple regions is preferred. Experience with import/export compliance, custom classifications is highly preferred. Experience with customs tariff classifications (HTS/HS codes) is preferred. Successful candidates need a blend of sharp analytical thinking, high adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with internal and external customers, requiring high emotional intelligence and patience. This position reports to the Director, Production & Assembly Operations You will work onsite during the initial training (Monday – Friday) Opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule; however, must be willing to work in the office at least 4 days per week, and as needed.
