Exciting opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist interested in supporting K-12 students! This school-based contract position starts immediately and runs through late May 2027, offering a chance to positively impact students’ physical growth and development across a wide-ranging caseload. Based near Mechanicsville, MD, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students access their education through improved mobility and functional skills.

Requirements:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland (MD PT License)
• Experience working with K-12 populations, especially in school settings
• Knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and school documentation
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Collaborative, flexible approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to travel as needed within district locations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students across K-12 grades
• Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Guide teachers and staff with classroom strategies and adaptive equipment use
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state policies
• Participate thoughtfully in team meetings and contribute to student success planning
• Provide caregiver education and support to foster ongoing progress

This contract role allows you to further your pediatric PT practice within a supportive district. The schedule is three days per week, providing a manageable workload that enables work-life balance while making a lasting impact on students’ lives.
