Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Dietetic Research Assistant for the Clinical Research Core (CRC) at NRI. This full‑time, one‑year, time‑limited position will work under the supervision of Research Project Managers and Coordinators to procure and prepare food products for research studies according to protocol, food safety, and sanitation guidelines. The role requires precise measurement, labeling, record‑keeping, and participant data collection, including instructions, distribution of food and beverages, and thorough documentation. The assistant will work closely with various research teams and contribute to innovative dietary studies. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in food service with a special emphasis on health care dietetics or related health care work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in nutritional science, culinary trades, clinical research, or a related field. Nutrition or food service experience with an understanding of food safety, preparation, and composition. Knowledge of clinical research and the importance of following protocol and reporting changes or errors to preserve study integrity. ServSafe certification preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Special Physical/Mental Requirements Comfortable using industrial kitchen appliances and tools. Ability to clean and maintain equipment to prolong its life. Ability to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, and pull to complete work. Strong hand‑eye coordination and precise attention to detail while following established procedures and maintaining quality assurance expectations. Visual attention, mental concentration, and manipulative skills critical when ordering materials, calculating units of measurement, and recording data.
