Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Or related field
We are specifically looking for someone who understands Oracle application delivery, release engineering, deployment automation, and production release management. The ideal candidate can take ownership of deployments while helping mature CI/CD and DevOps practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Own and coordinate Oracle application releases and production deployments
Manage code promotion across development, test, QA/UAT, and production environments
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Support deployments involving Oracle Database, SQL/PLSQL, Oracle APEX, and Oracle Visual Builder/VBCS
Troubleshoot deployment failures, release issues, environment issues, and production deployment problems
Establish repeatable release processes, deployment standards, controls, and best practices
Improve automation and reduce manual deployment activities
Coordinate releases across development, QA, infrastructure, database, application, and business teams
Manage release schedules, dependencies, approvals, rollback plans, and production readiness
Improve monitoring, observability, deployment validation, and post-release support
Help drive the organization's broader Oracle DevOps transformation and process maturity
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with the Oracle technology ecosystem
- Oracle Database and SQL/PLSQL
- Oracle APEX
- Oracle Visual Builder / VBCS
- Strong CI/CD and deployment automation experience
- Production deployment and release-management experience
- Experience promoting application/database changes across multiple environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills for failed deployments and production releases
- Ability to independently own release and deployment processes
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Strongly Preferred
FlexDeploy experience
Oracle Cloud / OCI experience
Oracle-focused CI/CD tooling
Observability and application monitoring
Datadog or similar monitoring platforms
Deployment governance and release controls
DevOps process improvement / transformation experience
Experience establishing DevOps standards for enterprise Oracle environments

Important
This role is not primarily focused on Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure DevOps administration, or generic cloud infrastructure engineering.
The hiring manager's priority is someone with deep Oracle ecosystem experience combined with CI/CD, deployment automation, production release management, and DevOps process ownership.
Oracle experience is more important than specific FlexDeploy experience.
Candidates local to Minnesota are preferred. Remote candidates may also be considered
Note: Must have in the resume - Oracle DevOps, CI/CD, release management, APEX/VBCS, PL/SQL, and production deployment experience.
