Manager, Business Services

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is seeking a Manager, Business Services to lead and coordinate the Fiscal Oversight Team within the Business Services Division. This position provides leadership and technical expertise in school district fiscal oversight, including reviewing and analyzing budgets, financial reports, attendance accounting, and other critical fiscal data. The Manager works closely with school districts, charter schools, internal teams, and outside agencies to provide guidance, ensure accurate state reporting, improve service delivery, and support sound financial practices. The role also supervises and develops professional and technical staff, prepares complex reports and analyses, and serves as a key resource to OCDE leadership on business and fiscal matters.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• Bachelor's degree public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of finance, budgeting and/or business experience in educational business service management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
