Apex Autoworks is hiring an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team in Brooklyn, NY.
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and hardworking technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate should be experienced in collision repair, body work, welding, body filler, sanding, polishing, painting, and color matching.
This is a full-time position with steady work for someone who knows the trade and can complete repairs properly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform collision and auto body repairs
- Repair and replace damaged body panels
- Perform metal straightening and body alignment
- Welding and panel repair
- Apply and shape body filler
- Sand and prepare vehicles for refinishing
- Perform polishing and finishing work
- Painting and professional color matching
- Inspect completed repairs for proper fit and finish
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional auto body experience
- Strong knowledge of collision and body repair
- Experienced with welding and metal repair
- Experienced with Bondo/body filler, sanding, and polishing
- Painting and color-matching experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Must take pride in quality workmanship
- Must be able to work well as part of a team
