Laboratory Technician

Position : Laboratory Technician

Location : Sandy, UT

Duration : 6 Months Contract

Total Hours/week : 40.00

1st shift

Job Summary:

• Responsible for supporting the Quality Chemistry and Microbiology Laboratories in a fast-paced manufacturing environment for medical device and pharmaceutical products

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Cleans lab supplies and glassware
• Operates glass washers and autoclaves
• Build process control devices
• Properly dispose of hazardous waste
• Perform analytical testing using laboratory equipment such as a scale or pH meter
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Must follow all company housekeeping policies and procedures
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet business requirements
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Experience:

• High school degree with 1 year laboratory experience

Basic Skills:

• Ability to demonstrate teamwork and strong communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Strong time management skills

Proficient/Working Skills:

• Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, and follow simple diagrams
• Ability to use Microsoft Suite
