To that end, we engage in philanthropic efforts for research into blindness and treatment for the visually impaired.About This RoleThe Inspector, QA performs quality raw material receiving, work in-process, and end item inspection at defined points of inspection.Location and ScheduleHazlehurst, MSMonday-Friday 3:15pm to 11:45pmKey ResponsibilitiesObtains random samples from incoming materials and evaluates for conformance to specifications.Performs routine checks, tests, gauging and instrument inspections of materials and finished goods.Assist in writing procedures, work instructions and inspection report forms for area of expertise.Obtain random samples from outgoing pallets of finished product and check with laboratory instruments that the samples meet company quality standards and customer's color code standards.Collects pertinent data to ensure processes are within tolerance levels.Conducts required testing procedures as outlined by customer specifications.Enters data into usable programs for management review.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED) with ability to keep accurate, neat records.Must have knowledge and experience with test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, protractors, tape measures, etc.Must be able to read and interpret contracts.Must be able to analyze data to detect trends and communicate them to management.Must be able to communicate with manager and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.Why LCI?Purpose-driven company driven by principles, not profitReach your highest potential: upward mobility, rewarded through hard workCompetitive salary and compensationBasic Life Insurance at no cost to the employee401(k) with match and Surplus-Sharing PlansHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceTen paid holidays annuallyPaid Time Off (PTO)On-site Health and Wellness programEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
