The City of Fresno is offering an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced, customer service professional.
As a Senior Customer Services Clerk, you will lead staff, support complex customer inquiries, and ensure efficient, accurate, and courteous processes. If you are a detail-oriented problem solver, apply now!
Responsibilities include:
- Resolving customer inquiries regarding rates, fees, services, and regulations.
- Assisting staff in addressing complex and difficult customer service issues.
- Producing bills, reports, and files using standard software applications.
- Contacting customers regarding service, billing, and tax assessment concerns.
- Training and providing lead direction to customer service and clerical staff.
- Processing payments, researching returned checks, and determining appropriate charges.
- Granting extensions, establishing payment plans, and adjusting utility bills as needed.
- Researching transactions and inputting accurate adjustments and corrections.
- Communicating with other agencies and supporting departmental procedures.
- Performing related duties as assigned.

The current vacancies exist in the Retirement Department. This classification also exists in the Planning & Development, Public Utilities, and Finance departments. Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of three (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period at the City's discretion. If the examination process is suspended for this recruitment, the eligible list may be limited to three (3) months.
