Overview
Recreational Therapist travel assignment in Vallejo, California. Start date June 15, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay is $1,231 to $1,347. Guaranteed hours are 40 per week. Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities or injuries, or mental illnesses.
- Provide treatment services and recreational therapy using techniques such as arts and crafts, animal-assisted activities, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans to support rehabilitation and well-being.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed; maintain accurate therapy records.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to align goals and measure outcomes.
- Promote patient engagement and safety during activities; adapt approaches to individual abilities and needs.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or a closely related field (required or equivalent per policy)
- CTRS certification or eligibility strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a day-shift environment (40 hours per week) and engage with diverse patient populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain prior to or during assignment
- Must be able to meet any assignment-specific credentialing requirements as part of the onboarding process
