Patient Access Manager

Culbertson Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced, service-driven Patient Access Manager to lead our patient access team and help shape the first impression patients receive when they enter our organization. This leadership position oversees scheduling, registration, insurance verification, check-in/check-out processes, and front-end patient access operations across multiple locations. What You'll DoLead Patient Access Operations Oversee scheduling, registration, insurance verification, check-in, check-out, and patient intake processes across multiple locations. Ensure patient access workflows are implemented consistently and efficiently. Identify operational barriers and implement solutions that improve access, patient flow, and service delivery. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex patient access concerns. Conduct site visits to ensure operational consistency and quality standards. Develop and Support Your Team Directly supervise patient access staff across multiple sites. Coordinate staffing coverage and scheduling to meet patient demand and organizational needs. Lead onboarding, training, cross-training, and competency development efforts. Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development planning. Foster a culture built on professionalism, teamwork, empathy, and accountability. Improve Access and Patient Experience Monitor appointment availability, registration accuracy, wait times, no-show rates, and patient satisfaction measures. Implement initiatives that improve same-day access, continuity of care, and scheduling efficiency. Lead service recovery efforts and ensure patient concerns are resolved promptly and professionally. Collaborate with providers and leadership to optimize scheduling templates and patient flow processes. Support Revenue Cycle Success Ensure accurate insurance verification, eligibility validation, and authorization processes. Promote front-end registration accuracy to support clean claims and reduce denials. Partner with Revenue Cycle and Finance teams to address trends and improve financial performance. Support patient affordability while maintaining compliance and organizational sustainability. Drive Quality and Process Improvement Monitor compliance with organizational policies, privacy regulations, and payer requirements. Participate in audits, quality reviews, and corrective action initiatives. Identify opportunities for operational improvement, workflow standardization, and increased efficiency. Support organizational initiatives focused on quality, access, and patient-centered care. What We're Looking For/Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of supervisory or management experience in healthcare patient access, admissions, clinic front office operations, or a related leadership role. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field. Two or more years of patient access leadership experience. Experience in a hospital, rural health clinic, community health center, or behavioral health setting. Multi-site leadership experience.
