Classification Title:Welding Trainer (Pool)Department:Welding TechnologyPhysical Demands:Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.Job Summary/Basic Function:Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Reports to the Director of Mechanical and Construction TechnologiesTrains students in the assigned welding labsMonitors for safe practices in lab and reports problems to instructorCollege benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.Minimum Qualifications:Advanced certification in welding technology or equivalent courseworkAmerican Welding Society Certification Welding Inspector preferred; Minimum 3 years work experience as a welding technicianExcellent interpersonal skillsGood communication skills including oral and writtenExceptional education or work experiences may be given special consideration #J-18808-Ljbffr Brazosport-College
