Local Class A CDL Driver

Job Description

The Local Class A CDL Driver will operate single semi-trailers on local, short-distance routes with daily returns. This role involves occasional loading and unloading of cargo and focuses on maintaining punctuality, safety, and superior customer service within a local environment.

Responsibilities

Operate single semi-trailer vehicles safely and efficiently
Navigate local routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
Occasionally assist with loading and unloading cargo
Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Plan routes to optimize time management and fuel efficiency
Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
Report accidents or incidents promptly according to company policy

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of commercial truck driving experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Strong skills in route navigation and vehicle inspection
Experience with logbook management and adherence to safety regulations
Effective time management and organizational skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations
