Over the past couple of years, the Don Franklin AutoMall in Lexington, KY has been under construction, completing a massive rebuild of our Hyundai, Genesis, Nissan and Buick/GMC dealerships located on Richmond Road. We are excited to announce that construction is coming to an end soon and the Grand Opening of all four dealerships is on the horizon! With these new, expanded dealerships, we are on the hunt to add additional Certified/Flat Rate Technicians to our team.

Job Overview
In this role, you will perform a variety of automotive repairs and diagnostics efficiently, adhering to manufacturer standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will help ensure our customers’ vehicles are maintained at peak performance, providing them with confidence and satisfaction. Pay will be based on prior experience and certification level and will be discussed during the interview process. Applicants are required to have a valid driver's license - motor vehicle report will be reviewed prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles using flat rate guidelines
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to accurately identify issues in electrical systems, powertrain components, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
• Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle inspections, and repairs on suspension systems to ensure optimal vehicle handling
• Repair engines and perform engine diagnostics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and effectively
• Follow safety procedures while working with automotive electrical systems and heavy machinery
• Document all repairs performed accurately in accordance with dealership standards

Experience

• Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with Hyundai, Genesis, Nissan and/or Buick/GMC brands
• Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain repairs, and engine troubleshooting
• Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and schematics reading skills are advantageous
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as hand tools, welding tools, and alignment machines effectively
