In this role, you'll work closely with our IT help desk team to identify opportunities for automation to keep our company running smoothly. If you join our team, you will help us invest in automated systems so we can continue to grow our impact while maintaining consistency across the company.We have a beautiful new office right across from Lake Union in Seattle; catered lunches five times a week; great pay and benefits; smart, friendly, and helpful coworkers; and even a couple of kayaks and paddleboards you can take out on sunny days.Your Next ChallengeThe Infrastructure engineer will fill a critical role on the IT team, identifying and building pipelines that keep the whole company running smoothly.The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Integrating software subscriptions with Okta for seamless user managementCreating terraform configurations to for consistent management of GCP and AWSBuilding and deploying software that monitors for security vulnerabilitiesInvesting in infrastructure to aggregate costs across all our services into a consistent formatDeploying automation to audit user access across all of our software subscriptionsBuilding and maintaining an automated pipeline for managing people, their accounts, and permissionsTroubleshooting, documenting, and maintaining our internal systemsDeveloping incident response automation, including auto-remediation workflows for common alertsImplementing backup and disaster recovery automation across critical systems and data storesWhat You'll NeedExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills5+ years of experience in IT or software development, with at least 3 years of experience focusing primarily on automation.Strong coding ability in a language such as PythonFamiliarity with using GitHub to organize code, and GitHub Actions for automation.Experience with specific IT automation tools, such as Terraform, Kandji/Iru, and OktaExperience administering and supporting major cloud providers such as AWS and Google CloudDemonstrated knowledge of networking fundamentalsProven ability to collaborate with non-technical departments to translate business requirements into automated solutionsStrong documentation experience with a focus on clear runbooks and end-user guidesFamiliarity with SAML and SCIM for identity and access managementBonus If You HaveA background in cybersecurityHands on experience supporting security and compliance auditsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
