The essential job responsibilities of the Utility Worker 1 are to perform entry level semi-skilled duties required in the installation and maintenance of electric, gas and/or water mains/services and associated equipment.Qualification Requirements: To perform the Utility Worker 1 role, you must: Successfully complete Placement/Performance Exercises Successfully complete Physical Ability/Fit for Duty Testing Have a valid driver's license from state of residence Obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License from state of residence within trial or probationary period after entering classification Physical Working Conditions: Works outside. Subject to inclement weather, traffic, working in proximity of high voltages and hazards of construction work. Subject to emergency work; climbing, balancing, kneeling, bending, pulling, pushing, standing, reaching, heavy lifting/carrying up to 98, stooping, crouching, crawling, working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, feelings, fingering, gripping, hearing, jumping, repetitive motion, seeing, sitting, twisting and walking.
