Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Step-Down Unit – Georgia

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48-hour contract week; unit size 16–20 beds; nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Highlights:

• Medical step-down unit caring for complex patient populations including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, diabetes (Type 2), substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Manageable 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 16–20 bed unit
• 48-hour contract schedule providing work-life balance
• Dynamic clinical environment offering diverse case mix and critical care experience
• Opportunity to expand skills in medical step-down care and acute patient management

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care or step-down nursing experience
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
