The position involves outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services in the oncology/hematology clinic and infusion center, hospital consultations, and patient management. The EMR system used is iKnowmed (clinic) and Cerner (infusion). Support staff includes 11 RNs, 2 MAs, and 3 office staff.Credentialing is expected to be completed within 30–60 days.Job requirements include board certification or eligibility in oncology and hematology, an active CA license, active DEA certification, ACLS (if moderate sedation required), PALS (for pediatric patients), and a completed fellowship in hematology/oncology.Duties and responsibilities include providing outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services, performing hospital consultations, managing patient admissions, overseeing diagnostic workup and treatment planning, supervising midlevel providers and support staff, and participating in weekend and night call coverage.
