Job Summary
Radiation Therapist (RTT) Location: Not Specified. This position involves the delivery of external beam radiation therapy treatments in a radiation oncology department. The role requires providing care on Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity machines, with a focus on patient treatment delivery and treatment procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications: ARRT and BLS required; Oregon Board of Medical Imaging licensure is also necessary.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in external beam radiation therapy patient treatment delivery.
• Schedule: Regular work days - Monday to Friday, mostly 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential for weekend work only if required due to machine downtime.
• Responsibilities include performing external beam radiation treatments, CT scans, and working within a dedicated Radiation Oncology department.
• Charting will be conducted via the EPIC system.
• May need to float to other units or departments; however, this position is primarily focused on the Radiation Oncology department.
• The orientation process involves shadowing experienced therapists or brief training sessions to ensure staff are up-to-speed within 3 to 5 days.
• The full-time radiation therapist performs treatment duties; locum therapists may treat patients daily.
• The facility operates with a two-therapist model per treatment machine, without working alone or on call.
• Dress code is business casual or scrubs with no open-toed shoes.
