Pharmacist

The Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center is a primary ambulatory care clinic dedicated to providing quality healthcare to eligible American Indians and Alaska Natives in the Warm Springs Service Unit area. The center offers a comprehensive system of healthcare services including:

• Medical
• Dental
• Optometry
• Pharmacy
• Laboratory
• Radiology
• Podiatry
• Behavioral Health
• Public Health Nursing

Pharmacist Responsibilities (listed are included but not limited to):

• Screen patient charts to ensure medication orders align with chart notes, lab work, vitals, and allergies.
• Process new medication orders.
• Fill and check prescription orders for accuracy.
• Educate patients on medication therapy, use, storage, precautions, and side effects.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team and providers for timely pharmaceutical services.
• Answer provider questions regarding drug therapy.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies and adverse reactions.
• Answer and screen telephone calls, take refill requests, and input outside prescriptions.
• Perform controlled substance audits as directed.
• Perform IV admixtures and inpatient drug distribution per facility policies.
• Administer immunizations (certification required).
• Provide blood pressure screenings per clinical guidelines.

Pharmacist Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacy license in any U.S. state or territory.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a registered Pharmacist.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Immunization certification.
• Two (2) professional references from current or previous supervisors.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Contract
• Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
