Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Corpus Christi, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a CVICU night shift assignment requiring Level 1/2 trauma or CV surgery experience preferred.Details\n \n CVICU unit with 24 beds and approximately 50 staff members\n Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 12 RNs, 1 unit secretary, and 1-3 sitters per week\n Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 12 RNs, and 1-3 sitters per week\n Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2\n Uses ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, and balloon pumps\n Performs procedures including intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, EVDs, ICP monitoring, Swan-Ganz insertion, pacers, and bolts\n Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n Every other weekend required\n May be placed on call only for scheduled shifts if not needed, with no other call expectations\n Floating to Doctors ICU required\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required\n Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred\n CV surgery experience preferred\n No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n US SSN and DOB required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct bedside care to critically ill ICU/CVICU patients\n Excellent customer service skills required for best personality fit\n Scrub attire required in royal blue\n 50-mile radius rule applies with no local candidates accepted, no exceptions\n One professional reference required for most states, with Florida and Missouri requiring two references\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-754954.
