Job Summary: Assembler (Whittier, CA)
About the RoleJoin a dynamic manufacturing team as an Assembler, specializing in the assembly and testing of mechanical, fluid, and electrical measurement equipment. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with precision tools, troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, and directly contribute to high-quality production. You'll operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities - Assemble components across all product lines using correct tools, fixtures, and equipment
- Test finished products and troubleshoot assembly/testing issues to ensure quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, models, and written procedures
- Set up new production work areas, equipment, and layouts
- Perform precision seam welding and operate calibrated weld controllers and gauges
- Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, and QA to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for defects
- Maintain accurate labor records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Uphold 6S standards with daily cleaning and routine maintenance of work areas
- Flexibility to work overtime, extended hours, and weekends as needed Required Skills and Experience - High School diploma or GED
- 3-5 years' direct experience in industrial manufacturing or integration
- Skilled in blueprint reading, component identification, and interpreting specifications
- Hand dexterity for assembling small mechanical/electrical parts
- Proficient with hand tools, rework techniques, and basic computer applications (Windows, Microsoft Office)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and effective verbal/written communication
- Physical ability to lift up to 44 lbs., work in confined areas, and climb ladders/stairs
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee Preferred Skills - Industry certification, trade school training, or related degree
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments
- Proficient in resistance seam welding, TIG welding, spot welding
- Familiarity with WPS/PQR documentation and helium leak verification Benefits - Competitive pay: $20.00 - $21.00/hr
- Steady Monday-Friday schedule: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (with overtime/weekends as needed)
