Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience. Will consider 1 year if experienced with all specialties offered.

License: RN

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have: Experience circulating general, ortho, podiatry, GYN, OB, endoscopic, and urology cases.

Description: Start date needed: 10/26. Interviews conducted followed by manager approval. Facility has 3 Operating Room suites and 1 GI Endoscopy room. Approximately 8-10 cases performed per day on average. General cases include gallbladders, appendectomies, colectomies, and hernia repairs. Orthopedic cases include total joints and sports medicine. Podiatry cases include toe amputations and bunionectomies. GYN cases include hysterectomies and hysteroscopies. OB cases involve C-sections, with RNs circulating. Endoscopic cases include colonoscopies and EGDs. Urology cases include TURPs, cystoscopies, and circumcisions. No robotics, high-level traumas, or neurosurgeries. RNs must be comfortable learning pre-op and PACU areas. On-call RNs will circulate cases and recover patients post-surgery. Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms is required. CSTs must be comfortable scrubbing cases. Technology includes EMR system and IV pumps. RNs with Cerner experience preferred. Call requirement includes 4-8 shifts per month and 1 weekend of call each month. Holiday expectations include being on call for major holidays. Scheduling includes Monday through Thursday, with department closed on Fridays.
