About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4 × 10-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Level 1 trauma center experience Description: Minimum 3 years of experience required. Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is essential. Case experience must include OR trauma, orthopedics, spine, and neurosurgery. Preferred qualifications include previous travel experience and familiarity with EPIC, SurgiCount, and TECSYS systems. Required skills include experience in general surgery, robotics (DaVinci & Mako Orthopedic systems), urology, ENT, neurosurgery (including cervical fusion and lumbar laminectomy), plastics (including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation), and gynecology. Specialization in orthopedics is necessary, including total knee replacements and total hip replacements with anterior and posterior approaches. Shifts will generally be 40 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30% requirement for shifts from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM as per department needs, and occasional weekend work is expected. On-call duty includes 6 weekdays and 6 weekends within a 6-week work schedule.
