This is the world-class engineering team where you should build your career!OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Java Engineer - AI & Agentic Platforms to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and cloud-native applications that power AI-driven and agentic solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on developer with experience building enterprise Java applications, distributed systems, and modern cloud-based services.QualificationsResponsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java microservices and backend applications.Build and integrate AI-enabled applications using modern frameworks and APIs.Develop scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven services.Collaborate with architects, product teams, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.Contribute to cloud-native application development and deployment.Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Support CI/CD pipelines and application observability initiatives.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with:Java 17+ and Spring BootREST APIs and microservices developmentDistributed systems and backend engineeringRelational and NoSQL databasesDocker and KubernetesCloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)Experience working with:AI application integrations and enterprise automation solutionsPython or TypeScript for scripting and integrationsMessaging and event-driven architecturesTechnical Qualifications:6+ years of software engineering experience.4+ years building and supporting microservices-based applications.Strong development experience with:Java (17+), Spring Boot, Spring CloudREST APIs, gRPC (preferred), GraphQL (preferred)Reactive Java (nice to have)Experience with:Redis or similar caching technologiesSQL and NoSQL databasesCI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesMonitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetryPreferred QualificationsExposure to AI and Agentic platforms.Experience working with MCPs (Model Context Protocols) or Agent Development Kit (ADK).Familiarity with AI copilots, conversational AI, or enterprise search solutions.Experience developing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Understanding of scalable and resilient cloud-native application developmentAdditional informationPay Range: $135,000 - $165,000The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient.
