Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) | EP Lab | Day Shift |PRN

Responsibilities The EP Lab CVT, under the direction of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assists physician in a scrub‑assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, cardiac cath procedures to ensure safe patient care. This is a prn day shift position. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy In lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) Licensure/Certification/Registration American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications: FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license or FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification, or any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields BLS required ACLS required Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath lab or EP lab. For less than 1 year EP experience, must have graduated from an accredited academic program with a dedicated EP curriculum and successful completion of EP clinical rotations. Must have a strong knowledge base in Electrocardiograms, rhythm analysis, sterile technique, cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and radiation protection. #J-18808-Ljbffr UF Health Central Florida
