About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP - GM Business Unit Control to join their Global Markets Business Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing world-class financial reporting and support services, ensuring compliance with group policies and standards, and external statutory obligations. This role involves the production of financial and management accounting reporting statements, maintaining a robust control environment, and acting as a primary control function for the Global Markets and Treasury business. Key tasks include P&L reporting decomposition and attribution, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis. The VP will also be a finance business partner, providing independent validation of financials, and supporting the Head of GM Business Unit Control in ensuring all business transactions are compliant and sustainable. Applicants must have a minimum of 10-12 years' of experience in a product control function within a top-tier financial institution, with a strong understanding of global markets and investment banking products. An advanced degree in a financial discipline or relevant qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA is required. The role demands a candidate with excellent numerical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage and lead a team. The VP will be expected to drive continuous improvement, manage the budgeting process, and act as a central point of contact for various group finance functions. Strong presentation and senior stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to synthesize information and deliver impactful presentations.
