Senior Helpers is seeking new caregivers to join our team! Whether you have no experience or have done caregiving before, we would love to hear from you. We match your skill level! Senior Helpers will also help provide you with the ability to grow professionally within the care industry by providing learning opportunities and experience. We serve the greater Chicagoland area, so we serve a variety of clients to match you with! We have available shifts now for weekdays, weekends, flex care with our facilities, day shifts, evening shifts, and overnights.

Qualifications:

• You must be at least 18 years old (required)
• Prior caregiving experience preferred, but we are proud to offer you on-the-job training
• Ability to be reliable, empathetic, and flexible (preferred)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
• Patient, reliable, and culturally sensitive, with a strong commitment to preserving client dignity and independence.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
• Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with car insurance.
• With a negative Tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities:

• Build a positive relationship with your client by taking part in engaging conversations and participating in your client's favorite hobbies
• Be able to perform light housekeeping, cook, and run errands as needed
• Provide individualized care as detailed in the care plan
• Have the ability to remain calm and collected during emergencies
• Be able to communicate with the office regarding any client changes to the office
