Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Manager:
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state and/or international employee population.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and applicable international payroll regulations.
• Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, tax reporting, and year-end payroll activities.
• Lead payroll system administration, testing, upgrades, and process enhancements.
• Supervise and develop payroll staff while maintaining high service levels.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve payroll-related issues and improve operations.
Qualifications for the Payroll Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including payroll leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with large-scale payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
• Proven background managing payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Professional payroll certification (CPP or equivalent) preferred.
