We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician III to support substation and power system projects. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician III to support substation and power system projects. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee commissioning activities for substation equipment and protection systems
- Review and validate commissioning documentation, test plans, and results
- Perform system walkdowns to assess completion status and identify outstanding work
- Support relay calibration, testing, and operational verification
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry requirements
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support during commissioning activities
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
- Review post-commissioning documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Minimum 5+ years of commissioning experience in power systems or substations
- Strong understanding of protection systems, relay testing, and commissioning practices
- OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead technical efforts on-site
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience with relay systems and protection testing
- NICET or NETA certification preferred
- Experience with large utility or transmission systems is a plus
