Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care

Location: Alaska

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) or Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); caregivers do not rotate between shifts.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility. The ideal candidate will have previous travel experience and must possess an active Alaska license.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to residents.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the supervising RN or physician.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for residents.
Maintain accurate patient records and charting using the electronic charting system.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Long Term Care setting.
BLS certification.
Current Alaska nursing license must be in hand upon application.
Experience with a patient ratio of 1:20.
Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (one-time fee of $10).
