In this role you will develop and maintain sophisticated AI enabling Advanced Battle Management software to address Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) decision advantage. Responsibilities Assist in the development and enhancement of model-based, decision-making algorithms under the guidance of senior engineers. Participate in requirements and system architecture analysis meetings with the MEDA project team. Support the development of interface architectures that integrate one or more AI/ML modules with each other and external software applications. Lead UI design and development. Perform object-oriented software development in Java and Python on the Linux operating system. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with MEDA software components. Document software components and updates in maintenance manuals. Assist with system configuration and installation activities. Collaborate effectively within a small development team in a dynamic environment where requirements may change with minimal lead time. Participate in domestic and foreign travel as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance (minimum). Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline. Strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts. Familiarity with model-based systems engineering. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements. Collaborating with warfighters to iterate on user stories and software features. Desired: Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline. U.S. Government Top Secret clearance. 2+ years of professional software development experience. Experience developing on Linux operating systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and techniques. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). Previous work on government contracts or in defense/aerospace industry. Familiarity with real-time systems or embedded software development.
