Senior People Operations Specialist

The Senior People Operations Specialist at Iterative Health is a critical individual contributor responsible for helping scale and optimize the infrastructure that supports the employee experience. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert in benefits administration, leave management, HR systems, people analytics, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable supporting employees, leveraging data to drive decisions, and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows. Over the next year, this person will play a key role in helping modernize our People infrastructure through process optimization, automation, AI‑enabled solutions, and the implementation of new benefits, tools, and technologies. Where You’ll Drive Impact Benefits & Leave Administration Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution. Manage benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and annual open enrollment processes, partnering with brokers, vendors, and HRIS providers to ensure accuracy and a seamless employee experience. Partner with brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support benefit administration, audits, benchmarking, vendor evaluations, and program enhancements. Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers throughout the leave process. Partner with third‑party leave administrators, HR Business Partners, managers, and payroll to support leave administration, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate documentation and records. HRIS Management & Employee Lifecycle Serve as the primary administrator for the company's HRIS, ensuring employee data is accurate, secure, and maintained with integrity across systems. Configure and support system workflows, business processes, security roles, reporting, and integrations. Manage employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations. Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring accurate employee communications and coordination with payroll, finance, and external vendors. Develop and maintain process documentation, data governance standards, and system procedures. Maintain employee records, including I‑9s, licenses, certifications, and other required documentation. Serve as a backup resource for pre‑boarding and onboarding activities during periods of high volume or team absences. People Analytics, Compliance & Reporting Support the development and maintenance of People metrics, dashboards, and reporting, providing insights on headcount, hiring, retention, turnover, engagement, leave utilization, and other workforce trends. Leverage HR technology, AI, and analytics tools to improve reporting capabilities, identify trends, and support data‑driven decision‑making. Partner with People leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to support workforce planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives. Support HR compliance activities, audits, and regulatory reporting, including EEO‑1 reporting, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, compensation reporting, and other required filings. Assist with employee compliance programs, including employee handbook administration, policy updates, annual acknowledgements, mandatory training programs, and compliance communications. Maintain compliant employee records and support I‑9 administration, record retention, documentation reviews, and other compliance‑related processes. Monitor regulatory changes and support updates to policies, processes, reporting, and employee communications to ensure ongoing compliance. Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage AI and automation, and enhance the employee experience through technology and operational efficiencies. Support additional People Team projects and initiatives as assigned.
