Inventory Control Specialist

Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods in accordance with established schedules and inventory control procedures. Monitor and analyze inventory levels using ERP or inventory management systems to identify discrepancies and trends. Investigate, document, and resolve inventory variances through detailed root cause analysis. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between physical counts and system data. Organize and prepare inventory count areas, ensuring materials are properly identified and accessible for accurate counting. Assist in developing and improving inventory control policies and procedures. Support demand planning and forecasting activities by providing accurate inventory data and insights. Communicate inventory discrepancies, trends, and risks to Inventory Management and cross-functional stakeholders. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and recommending best practices for inventory accuracy.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related supply chain functions.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including formulas and data analysis).
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify discrepancies.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
• Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, and inventory control methodologies preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate inventory data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving quantities, variances, and inventory adjustments.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret reports, procedures, and inventory documentation.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply sound judgment to investigate and resolve inventory issues in accordance with established procedures.

• Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete warehouse floors.
• Lifting and Carrying: Regularly lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs; heavier items may require team lifting.
• Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Reaching and Bending: Frequent reaching overhead, bending, stooping, kneeling, and other movements needed to access inventory or operate equipment.
• Manual Dexterity: Use hands and fingers to operate computers, calculators, scanners, printers, and other warehouse or office equipment.
• Forklift Operation: Must be physically capable of safely operating a forklift and other powered industrial trucks.
• Visual and Auditory Requirements: Sufficient vision and hearing to navigate warehouse environments safely, read labels and documents, and communicate effectively.

Work is performed in inventory storage, warehouse, or production-related environments with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and typical operational conditions.
