Student Radiology Technologist

Scope of Work Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures. Assumes responsibility and maintains general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures. Assures equipment and supplies are present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each imaging procedure. Coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices. Follows Corewell philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times. Qualifications Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Ultrasonography program at the 2nd‑year student level. Work Experience: Training can be gained while at student level. Must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program. Certification, Licensure, Registration: Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross).
