Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Technologist Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 - 18:00), with occasional early shifts starting at 06:30. One of the four days will be designated as a late shift to complete the last patient of the day. Job Description The Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of cardiac procedures in a team-oriented environment, supporting the interventional cardiologists in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterization. Assist with the placement and removal of IABP and Impella, and conduct pulmonary artery line monitoring. Administer procedural sedation and monitor patient recovery. Utilize various diagnostic tools and techniques such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound during procedures. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment. Provide emergency care as needed, including the administration of antiarrhythmics and IV vasopressors. Document procedures and patient care accurately in the electronic health record. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS. Experience with diagnostic catheterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions.
