In this role, you will support process operations, maintenance, and engineering by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing process control system equipment.**Minimum Requirements:*** An Associate's Degree in the Instrument and Controls field OR Successful completion of a formal program in the field of Process Instrumentation through military service or crafts apprenticeship program with 5 years of recent practical experience in maintenance of industrial instrumentation and controls equipment (calibration of smart transmitters, PLC, DCS, AMS, rebuild control valves, etc)* Current ISA (Formerly: Instrument Society of America) CCST Certification Level I (or equivalent) and 5 years of recent practical experience in maintenance of industrial instrumentation and controls equipment (calibration of smart transmitters, PLC, DCS, AMS, rebuild control valves, etc)**Responsibilities:*** Maintain online analytical instrumentation through preventative and corrective maintenance* Perform the routine checks and maintenance required to ensure equipment functionality and reliability* Maintain accurate and thorough records of all analytical equipment calibrations in accordance with site quality procedures and documentation best practices* Troubleshoot and repair issues that impair proper functionality of analytical systems* Provide the required support needed to resolve non-scheduled priority jobs during normal and after hours* Assist with updating and creating equipment specification sheets, CEMS equipment files, checklist and procedures* Responds to work orders, overtime situations, and the needs of the refinery.* Look for opportunities to improve reliability**Location and other Key Details:*** You will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5801 Brighton Blvd.* Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday OR 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday, depending on business needs* Paid overtime, often 100-600+ hours per year based on plant needs* You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces* This position is safety sensitive* In alignment with Suncor’s value of Safety Above All Else, *we conduct pre-employment drug testing, employment verification, education verification, background checks, and other pre-employment assessments as a condition of employment***Hourly Rate and Compensation Details:*** This is a union represented position under USW 12-477* $55.16 per hour with annual increases* Competitive and flexible employee benefits package that can be adjusted to suit the changing needs of your life, including: 3 medical options (including HSA and FSA options), 2 dental options, vision coverage, and an Employee Assistance Plan* Excellent 401(k) plan with up to a 6% vested match* Suncor-funded Cash Balance defined benefit pension plan (vests in 3 years)* Relocation support will be provided**Think we are a fit?
