We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team in the financial sector. In this role, you will contribute to serving as a liaison between the member and the credit union, providing account information, opening new accounts, and handling daily credit union needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner.
- Respond to member requests, concerns, and questions in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist members with their plastic card related issues, including mailing cards if necessary.
- Open new accounts and service existing accounts, setting up new account files and providing members with all necessary information for membership.
- Promote credit union products and services based on member's needs.
- Perform account maintenance on member accounts when requested, with proper documentation/authorization.
- May perform teller duties as a Backup Teller, including receiving checks and cash for deposit and verifying amounts.
- Ensure propriety and confidentiality of members' information.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules, and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customer/member service experience with a credit union or bank.
- Previous cash handling experience with a credit union and/or bank.
- Ability to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to speak and write clearly and effectively.
